What Makes GILDERS® paste wax Different?

When we think of what we expect from art supply products, one word comes to mind: versatility. With its concentrated artesian pigments and specialty blend of waxes, GILDERS® paste wax has optimal tint retention, opacity, and coverage; you can apply it on many surfaces and materials such as metal, wood, polymer clay, engravings, gourds, and more. With such a variety of colors and the ability to mix into an endless color palette, GILDERS® paste wax is an ideal solution to aid in your finishing needs.

Labels Change… Quality Doesn’t!

In 1998, we discovered GILDERS® paste wax. We initially realized the potential of this type of product in the picture framing industry; soon, the desire for a gilded look spread to artists of varying skill levels and materials. We bought the rights to manufacture and reformulated the product to be more user-friendly while conforming to art materials’ health, safety, and environmental protection. We changed our product name as many did not pronounce or spell Baroque Art correctly. Our new brand name, GILDERS® paste wax, better describes our product line; GILDERS® paste wax finishes resemble natural gold leaf and other metal foils used for traditional gilding. Whether you’re a professional artist or a DIYer looking to step up your crafting skills, our product is easy to use and forgiving while providing a colorful and durable wax finish.
